eatOur bodies have very specific requirements in terms of what we are required to eat and these haven't changed in a very long time. In fact genetically we have changed very little in the last one hundred thousand years. In the last few thousand years however our diets and our environment have changed dramatically and we haven't had enough time to evolve to these changes.

The requirements for our food intake are very simple. Good quality healthy meats, nuts and seeds, plenty of fruits and vegetables and loads of fresh clean water. Eating this way is often not so simple though and may require some significant changes from what you are currently eating. When you are assessing your chemical requirements remember that it is not much good eating all of the right things if your body isn't absorbing them properly. One of the most important things you need to consider is whether your nervous system supplying your digestive system is functioning properly.

Click here to book an appointment to find out how your nervous system is functioning.

Of course just as important as making sure you are getting what your body requires is making sure that you minimise those things that are stressful for your body. In our modern world there are many sources of these including unhealthy foods, caffeine, alcohol, pollution, medications and immunizations and cigarette smoke.

So eat plenty of what your body requires and minimise those chemical stressors as much as possible and you will go a long way to having a healthy, well body.
