I have never been a massive Rugby fan but former Wallabies captain John Eales had my favourite ever sporting nickname. They used to call him Nobody, because he was always so perfect (i.e. nobody's perfect). It is true in all things in life, including our lifestyles. Nobody is going to eat exactly the right things all the time, nobody is going to exercise perfectly, and nobody is free of negative thoughts. And it is how you think about and deal with these occasional imperfections that will decide how healthy you become. Do you treat these moments as an earned reward or a moment of learning?

There are 4 phases of any learning process.
Do you shudder to look in the mirror after Christmas? Do you promise yourself that by this time next year you will be back in your old jeans, showing off your six pack and happy as Larry - only to find yourself making the exact same promises 12 months later?
A new study
Everybody knows someone who is painfully positive. No matter what is going on in their lives they still approach it with child like enthusiasm and a huge smile on their face. We also all know that person who is the exact opposite. They could win the top prize in the weekday lotto and complain that it didn't pay very well. In fact of you put these two people into exactly the same situation (stimulus) they would react very differently to each other, how is this possible? Aren't we all wired the same?
